The East End Cookie Company is a boutique distributor of fine baked goods. We seek out and offer to our customers artisanal, hand crafted sweets of superior quality that are new to the broad markets. We focus on products from small producers with whom we can work closely to bring their desserts to you. Due to the nature of the small manufacturers we work with there are often limitations on production and shipping, especially during busy holiday periods. We ask our customers to keep this in mind when ordering and allow plenty of lead time for larger orders.
Currently we are delighted to offer to our customers the best brownies we’ve ever tried. They come to you from Seth Greenberg’s Just Desserts located in
Why try my Brownies?
They’re not ‘Gourmet.’ They’re not ‘Ultimate.’ They’re not ‘Death by Chocolate. They aren’t ‘Indecent.’ Nor any other tired, overworked, misapplied, hyperbole of inaccurate description. But then, what are they? They are simply, Fudge Brownies. (Which is like saying a beautiful dawn is just the sun coming up!) Why should you try my Brownies? Because I think they’ll taste better than any you’ve had. Why? Because of my unique recipe, the quality of my ingredients and the skill with which I bake them. (Yes, I bake every one of them!)
I start with USDA AA unsalted butter and Belgian 52% chocolate. I hand crack only Grade A Large fresh eggs and use only pure cane sugar. I add only unbleached, not-bromated flour, artisan cocoa powder, pure Madagascar Bourbon vanilla extract and a dash of salt. And nothing else. I blend these ingredients together in the proper order then bake the brownies until they’re done perfectly, not a moment more! I then cool, cut, wrap, pack and ship them to you the same day they’re baked.
If you prefer nuts in your Brownies (I certainly do!), I use only Fancy Large pieces gently toasted before being baked into my brownies. Not pressed on top mind you, but mixed in throughout. And I use a lot of pecans, too many some friends have told me (but I didn’t listen to them.)
My Brownie is a very dark, very rich, unique Brownie that is unlike any other Brownie I’ve tried. And that’s why you should try my Brownies.
Sticky buns! Are there any other two words that turn an ordinary everyday breakfast into a special festive morning meal? We don’t think so either. So when our favorite brownie maker told us that he also makes the most wonderful sticky buns we immediately convinced him to offer them to you. Drop what you’re doing and right now order some of Seth Greenberg’s Just Desserts Mini Sticky Schnecken Buns. These will get any day off to the sweetest start!
For as long as I can remember when ‘growing up’ (I have some friends who say they are still waiting for me to do that) my father would bring home Schnecken from his store for Sunday mornings, holiday mornings, birthday mornings and any other day we could wheedle him to save some for us. And they always made any day special. When I sold the business and left the company I eventually started to miss them so much I started to make my own version. To do that, I went back to the old family recipe that my father and aunt used in their mother’s kitchen in the 1930’s and used that as a beginning for my quest to create a sticky bun that would make my mornings special. After many, many samples I’m finally happy about eating breakfast again. My Mini Sticky Schnecken Buns are glorious little bombs of caramelized brown sugar, raisins, pecans and cinnamon rolled up in my special sour-cream yeast dough. Packed in boxes of one or two dozen, they are perfect for a family breakfast, afternoon tea or as a gift to someone you really care about.
